Turning off Answer Request feature

Is there a way I can prevent myself from being tagged to answer forum questions?

I know I can turn off email notifications related to these, but I'd like to turn them off completely.

Now that I saw it again, you can do...

Account settings -> Email Notifications -> Activity Related to you and there un-check "Someone asks you to answer a question in the forum" .

Ps. That doesn't prevent you from being tagged though. So maybe you can ask help@treehouse.com about it, I don't think there is an option to do that on your own at the moment, in the privacy section there is an option for disabling people from viewing your profile but I don't know if that can help you to stop tagging as well.

Yeah, I don't want to be tagged because it seems like the tagging occurs at random. And I'd also like to keep my profile public.

Hi Adam, you can go to Email Notifications and there's a whole list of things you can disable related to forum activity.

Treehouse Email Notifications

Pretty sure that only disables the email notifications. I already had those disabled. It doesn't disable the notifications in general (they still show up as notifications via the bell icon when I'm logged into Treehouse)

That's correct. Currently, there is no way to disable in-app notifications.
