Typography :: Google fonts is different than in the video.

Im just doing the getting started project for the typography course, however the Google font sites interface seems to be totally different than what is in the video. Is the video out of date or am I not using the Google Fonts site correctly?

It is frustrating, because although I have the same typeface picked it does not give the same options that is used in the example.

Google Fonts changed their design a few months ago. These things happen. Just like teachers might be using older versions of Sublime Text or other progams.

Unfortunately you cannot expect them to update every single detail in their videos since the web just changes too often.

But, it's a good lesson to figure things out yourself. I find that these things are challenges that really help develop your skills. Hang in there. Just look around, or google things. You will figure it out.

If not, post here what it is you are trying to do and we will try to help you.

Thanks I figured it out. I just wasn't sure if it was me not using it correctly or if the site had changed. What would of been good is if they included the import url text in the video descriptions so that we could just copy and paste from there. That would be easier to update than the video (i.e. changing 'italic' to 'i' which is the new format that google is using).
