UITextfield

I need to have some kind of a boolean value that changes if a user interacts with a textfield. What I mean with interact is when the user types something in the textfield, and its value changes.

For various reasons I cannot use textfield.text.isEmpty?.

But is there another boolean value that suits my needs, or do i have to create one on my own?

I found something that may be of interest to me. A notification named "UITextFieldTextDidBeginEditingNotification." But I donΒ΄t know how to use it. Someone care to explain?
