Unable to launch the emularor device?

Tried to follow the steps taken to launch the android emulator using AVD Manager but received the following error http://snag.gy/5ceWd.jpg .Don't know what to do ? Please help ?

Upon installing HAXM I am getting the following error http://snag.gy/GFpZT.jpg This computer meets the requirements for HAXM, but intel virtualization technology VT-x is not turned on, HAXM cannot be installed until VT-x is enabled.

How should i enable VT-x ?

You need to download the Intel HAXM from the SDK manager. Take a look at this stackoverflow question for details. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26355645/error-in-launching-avd
