Unable to Select Refine Mask

I've followed the steps in the video but the Refine Mask option is greyed out in the select menu. Anybody got ant ideas why this might be? I'm using Photoshop CC 2014 because that was all I could get hold of. Thanks :)

Apparently the Refine Mask option has been retired in newer versions of Photoshop CC. There's a new Select and Mask feature in the latest releases that does something similar. A tutorial can be found on Youtube.

Make sure that you selected the Mask. The mask is the second thumbnail on the right side of the normal image thumbnail. if still does not work try ctrl+left click to select the mask and then go to select and Refine Mask.
