20,893 PointsUnbelievable long Console setup
I usually use the console Treehouse has supplied when following along with videos that require one. Today though... well I am stuck trying to load the console. I understand it may take awhile, but I have never had it take so long that I was able to sit for a few minuets, ponder to make a forum post, then actually make the post and it still be loading.
Are the servers down/having issues or something? Is this just me?

FWIW, we are aware of some foundational issues with the way the console service is currently delivered that make it hard to keep it super-reliable. We have some big improvements slated for the next few months that should improve the situation pretty significantly, so stay tuned!

"Thanks for writing to us. We're having an issue with the API at the moment. We should have it rectified here shortly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you!"

34,574 PointsAre you on a Mac or PC? If you're on a Mac you can already go through the material using the Terminal. If you're on a PC it might be beneficial to try to install Git on your machine to see how it compares to the Mac environment in the meantime.

17,132 PointsWere those issues with the console resolved. Because I can't get it to load. Had the same problem last week. It's suck at the 'We're setting up your computer' message - a half hour passes by and it still hasn't finished.

34,574 PointsAndrew, I just tested it also and it's not starting up for me also. It might be because you're behind a firewall at work, school, etc. Drop an email to help@teamtreehouse.com to see if they can fix the problem for you. The support team is really good about getting back to you quickly.
