Under the function definition, call your new function and pass it the argument 3.

Since your square returns a value, create a new variable named result to store the value from function call

squaring.py 
def square(number):
    return (number**2)


print(square(3))
print(result)

The instructions don't ask you to "print" anything. But when you call your function, you need to create the variable "result" and assign the value of the function to it.
