updating entries EF MVC Store update, insert, or delete statement affected an unexpected number of rows Exception

Trying to update entries in my practice project but keep getting this error on my context.SaveChanges() LINE

System.Data.Entity.Infrastructure.DbUpdateConcurrencyException: 'Store update, insert, or delete statement affected an unexpected number of rows (0). Entities may have been modified or deleted since entities were loaded.

        public ActionResult Edit(int? id)
        {

            var member = repository.GetMember(id, _context);

            return View(member);

        }




        [HttpPost]
        public ActionResult Edit(Member member)
        {



            _context.Entry(member).State = EntityState.Modified;

            _context.SaveChanges(); //geting  error 

            TempData["edit"] = "member succesfully edited";

            return View("Index");

        }
