HI, I dont want to annoy too much, but i have these question, that it kinda get me confused my self of what to think.

What is a PC?

Okay, so

"A PC is Personal Computer. What is COmputer? Computer is a machine . A windows, is the name of the operating system like IOS for iMac. We can call iMac a PC because its a Personal COmputer thath runs on iOS . Like winows, is a name of the operating system thath runs on different names like Toshiba, Dell etc.. thier both PC. Their the same. A PC is iMac and Windows. We can have evena mobile phone as PC in these days. "

I am right?

Yup! A PC can be running any operating system (OSX, iOS, Windows, Linux, Android, etc.). However, colloquially it refers to a computer running on Windows:

"PC" is an initialism for "personal computer". However, it is sometimes used in a different sense, referring to a personal computer with an Intel x86-compatible processor running Microsoft Windows, which is a combination sometimes also called Wintel. "PC" is used in contrast with "Mac", an Apple Macintosh computer. This sense of the word is used in the Get a Mac advertisement campaign that ran between 2006 and 2009, as well as its rival, I'm a PC campaign, that appeared in 2008.

An interesting side note: the idea that a computer is a machine is a new one. A computer use to be a person – a person who computed calculations.

Interesting.

You know, i had a lesson, where i had to choose a Computer lol thats good for graphic design. The teacher said " I give you a tip, its not a PC' and i believe, thath hes wrong? though, reading this, i m confused : p basicaly, if he said its not PC, thenhe follows his rule of Windows thats still right, but theni follow the other rule thath a PC is universal which means thath this is a word with different meaning?

Also, laptop, is universal as well? iMac Airbook pro, Laptop, the same thing? jsut different name?

Technically, any tool is good for graphic design (as long as you know how to use it). However, Apple computers have a history of being very supportive environments for graphic designers. Windows machines have come a long way though.

It sounds like he was using "PC" in the modern colloquial way to mean "a computer running Windows."

Whatever tool you use, you'll need to work hard to be good. You'll just get more support on an Macintosh environment today.

If you're just getting into design, I'd highly recommend reading the following:

Enjoy!
