Use jQuery's html() method to insert the server response into the footer of the page. (https://teamtreehouse.com/librar)

$.get('footer.html', function a(response){$("#footer".html(response);)}); was my answer but it fails not sure whats wrong with my code

app.js
$.get('footer.html', function x(response){$("#footer").html(response);});
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
  <meta charset="utf-8">
  <title>AJAX with JavaScript</title>
</head>
<body>
  <div id="main">
    <h1>AJAX with jQuery</h1>
  </div>

Hi mo, i think the issue might be that you have named your function x when the challenge requires the function to be anonymous, try:

$.get("footer.html", function(response){ //use an anonymous function
    $("#footer").html(response);
});
