Use the document.write() function to print the contents of the player variable to the page.

you didn't use the document.write()

var player ="Jasmine";
document.write
console.log ("player");

Hi Virginia,

Be sure to use parenthesis when using document.write(). And when it says it wants you to print the contents of the player variable, all that means is that you insert the variable player into the document.write function without any quotes around it like so:

var player = "Jasmine";
document.write(player);
