Now that I have completed the TreeHouse Web Design Track I feel quite confident that I can use these skills to boost my value with my company. Can you give me some good examples of how to display my new found knowledge.

I will try and find something.
If you find anything let me know.

Hard to recommend how to display your knowledge without knowing what business you are in or the needs it has. However, two common recommendations are to get involved with open source opportunities or volunteer opportunities.
For me, there is not a lot of opportunity to apply web design or development at my work. Instead, I started doing some freelance work to gain experience. It has been challenging, but very enjoyable experience. Plus, I have had the opportunity to make a little extra money on the side.

Courses Plus Student 10,363 PointsThere's no Certificate saying that I've passed the course. I think it would be cool to put something together outlining the completion of the course and the subject matter containing so that it can be used on a resume or on a website/portfolio. I'm actually sitting on a board meeting this week for a local university which will help new graduates develop a portfolio that they can use when applying for jobs. These would be skills that I would be interested in seeing presented as a potential employer.

I may not be understanding you correctly, but in my experience, while Treehouse and their projects are great, employers and potential clients like to see real world experience. It would be neat if there was an e-lance type service for beginners. I'm thinking something that would mix e-lance and internships, so maybe small projects with the expectation that the pay would be less. Maybe something is already out there for that.
