Using desktop server with existing xampp set up

I was looking to download desktop server but it has its own xampp application and htdocs folder. What if I already have xampp set up on my mac? Can I just drag the desktop server folder into the exsisting xampp/htdocs directory? Thanks, hope this isn't too confusing...

I'd say just use the xampp setup you already have. I think Zac's demo is for people who don't have a local server set up already. As long as you know where to put your site files (htdocs) and how to start your servers you'll be fine.
