Using functional python with combiner task

I am wondering if there is a way to embed functional python into the combiner function to get the sum of the list of numbers? The code I used doesn't seem to work.

instances.py
sum = str(reduce(lambda x, y: x + y, [1.0, 3, 5]))

What error are you getting? I just ran this snippet and it worked fine. I just had to import reduce from functools

from functools import reduce
