Using input

Would anyone tell me if I would use php to take data entered into a text field and the populate another field on the same page with it? I want to have someone enter a name, hit submit and then see what they entered pop up in a field on the same page.

Sounds like what your looking for is going to be best handled with JavaScript / jQuery.

Search for 'handlers' and 'events'.

Better yet, watch the 'Build an Interactive Website' project.
