Using sprites for styling checkboxes and radio buttons

Are we supposed to use a sprite to style checkboxes and radio buttons? So far we have not been taught explicitly how to style buttons and checkboxes. I am confused how we are supposed to complete this project without outside knowledge.

People who are not in the TechDegree program can't see your project. I would advise to start by using your slack channel, or maybe tag someone Like whoever is teaching the course and have them answer for you. I'm sorry, but I can't see the project details so I have no idea.
