Using the code for my app

Hey guys I got a quick question probably silly but whatever...

I'm learning how to make android apps and I'm using this site to learn more. I am on the verge of finishing my mobile app and used a lot of code from a video on here. I changed a lot of things around and didn't use the images that came with it. I basically used main core features and changed things around to my liking. Am I allowed to do this? Is there a way I would just have to credit them? Or just not use the code at all?

from what ive seen staff members post on the forums you are free and encouraged to do this. There are many, many, crystal ball and ribbit apps on the app store that are just like the ones made in the videos, and since you changed yours up a bit thats even better. I also asked a few weeks ago about using treehouse-provided images in apps and was told it was fine to do that as well.

That's seriously awesome if we can. I'm reworking the whole app but needed a base. Certain things I didn't know how to do but I am learning! :D

I wonder if there is something in their terms that states we can use code and images posted here.

I don't want to start app making and using stuff and a month later have a lawsuit on my hands :(

Yes, please do! The code from our lessons is intended to help you write real apps. The only thing I would ask is that you share your creation with us here in the Forum so we can have a look and celebrate. :) We love seeing what students create, and if it's really awesome we can try to feature it somehow.
