PHP Object-Oriented PHP Basics (Retired) Properties and Methods Mid-Course Challenge

Using the getInfo() method.

How can i return the values using the getinfo() function. I understand the basics of returning a string etc...but i can't seem to return the object properties within a string eg: return "This is a string".$this->name.$this->weight;

fish.php
<?php

class Fish {

  public $common_name;
  public $flavor;
  public $record_weight;

  function __construct($name, $flavor, $record) {

  $this->common_name = $name;
  $this->flavor =$flavor;
  $this->record_weight = $record;
  }

  function getInfo(){
    return "$this->common_name $this->flavor $this->record_weight";
  }

}

$bass = new Fish("Largemouth Bass", "Excellent", "22 pounds 5 ounces");
getinfo($bass);
?>

hi , i am not sure if i understand what you're trying to achieve. but in case you want to return your getInfo() method, you should try this:

$bass = new Fish("Largemouth Bass", "Excellent", "22 pounds 5 ounces");

echo $bass->getInfo();

Thanks Sim
