Using X-Code 5 DP-6 and learning iOs Development

I have been learning iOs Development from Amit Bijlani's course on modifying a Master-Detail Template and I can see that the code actually looks different in the iOs 7 Master Detail Template....a good example is in the MasterViewController.m file , where instead of what is seen in the video there is the following in the @interface part(which is deleted mind you...but would rather know how to deal with it in the iOs 7 SDK)

 @interface MasterViewController ()
 - (void)configureCell:(UITableViewCell *)cell atIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath;
 @end

Thanks for all your help!

Since you are just starting out I'd recommend using the same version of Xcode as in the videos so there is no confusion. You can always download older versions of Xcode from the dev center.

I'm not happy with your answer I have to admit especially since iOs 7 will be adopted by the majority of iOs Devices but I will take your recommendation nonetheless.

I'm hoping that in the near future, the same course will be available for iOs 7 SDK as it feels as if I have to relearn everything all over again.

Once again sorry if I'm being too demanding!

We will be re-launching "How to Build a Simple iPhone app" on October 10th. Check out the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUrmfgx25DU

I understand what you are saying and we are updating our courses. However, these courses teach the basics that don't change from one version of iOS to the next. Whatever you learn here will probably remain the true even in iOS 8. What each new version brings are new features. Although, before you learn about new features you need to how to program a basic app.

I can see that you have produced a video re: iOs 7 SDK Highlights. Looking forward to seeing this video soon enough.

I hope there is some part about UITableViewController changes :o)

Thanks in advance.
