Have you also installed VirtualBox? Try restarting your computer, it may help to recognize everything after the vagrant installation.

I have VirtualBox installed and I restarted my computer. When I type in vagrant as a command the the error message 'vagrant' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Nick Hennen try updating to the latest Vagrant and give it another shot and let us know if that helps.
