ValueError, Raising an Exception

Very confused, feel like i'm close but not getting to it. what am i doing wrong?

suggestinator.py
def suggest(product_idea):
    return product_idea + "inator"
    if len(product_idea) < 3:
        raise ValueError("Please use more than 3 characters!")

move your return to the end of your function, anything after that return is not running.

def suggest(product_idea):
    if len(product_idea) < 3:
        raise ValueError("Please use more than 3 characters!")
    return product_idea + "inator"
