Velocity Apache Scripting (Subset language of JAVA)

I need to learn Velocity like no other. I have a basic run down but there seems to be some corks that spend a lot of time learning.

I want to find a course or person who teaches velocity.

My current use: I am using Marketo(Marketing software) which allows dynamic scripting but limits you to Velocity. I want to become more efficient but the documents are a bit weak and is not an easy read.
