Video have no sound on Safari

I have tried to watch some videos from your site today and there is no sound while using Safari. I doubt this being my computer's problem, as I have tried other website and they work just fine. I am running OS 10.8.2 - and Safari 6.0.3

There's a conflict between how Treehouse uses HTML5 video & Perian

You've got a few options on how to workaround this issue:

Ya, checked, no Perian, but for now I will just use firefox as it works with no issue. thx

No Perian on Maverick, same problem for me. I've turned off my extensions to load flash (although this is really for youtube, just in case), and still no luck (I feel violated having to enable that, sshhhh). Playing the mp4 on the side works for me.

Confirmed with eight other users, four in the same network, four out of network, all Safari. Chrome & Firefox are fine.

Here's a video demoing the issue: http://cloud.bradyjfrey.com/0I1h3s1X3A0m

Brady Frey - That's kinda curious, I'd email the good folks at Treehouse support at help@teamtreehouse.com they should be able to help you out.

Thanks James, I'm not interested in a fix for myself, I'm just letting Treehouse know.

You couldn't resist pointing out the obvious and meeting the cliche forum standards, could you:)? Thank you very much for clarifying the position of this forum, and the roles and responsibilities of it's communication. I have updated this ticket since it was the first search result for the problem, and already notified Treehouse beforehand. I did not feel the need to give you a detailed explanation, but rest assured the people I pay a corporate account are in the loop and linked back here.
