Video Player Woes

Hi all,

I'm relatively new here, but thoroughly enjoying the Treehouse experience thus far, with one small exception. For some reason my video player is not functioning correctly. Every time I start a new video it fails to load and just continues to buffer until i refresh the page. Sometimes it requires me to refresh several times in a row.

Upon getting the video to load, several of the videos stop at random points for no apparent reason. I am sure it is not my internet(youtube/netflix working fine) or my computer.(beast rig I built myself) I also don't recall having this problem before the past few days. I suppose it could be server issues, but the rest of the site works fine so that's unlikely. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, Aaron. Welcome :)

I'm getting the same issues as well, once in a while. It took a minute to load tonight when I first loaded the site. A couple of times this week, its been doing what you described.

Thanks for the welcome Nora.

Sorry to hear that you're having the same problems, but that probably means that is it just some server issues after all. People are probably catching on to how wonderful this website is and are overloading streaming servers :) Hopefully things will be back to normal within a few days because I am really enjoying making my tee-shirt shop!

Best of luck to you and thanks for the quick reply.

Hi Aaron, the best thing to do when something like this happens is to contact support directly at help@teamtreehouse.com

You could change the Playback settings to flash as a workaround.

Usual questions are: Have you disabled add-ons etc. What browser, OS are you using?

Support are probably the best ppl to hit up as suggested above.

Hope you get it sorted.
