Video quality option

I have a slightly unsteady internet connection at my place and sometimes the video tends to take time to buffer. It would be great if I could choose a lower quality version of the video to prevent buffering hold up.

Shouldn't the video buffer if you start it and pause it ? Like Youtube does ? That way you just wait a bit before starting the video ?
