Video with not allow professing forwards or backwards

In the video provided by treehouse I noticed that the video loaded on my page when I hit the play button and the video allows me to move the minutes value to any place in the video.

Unfortunately, when I insert my own video in the code this same behavior does not happen. The video loads only a few seconds before it's playing point and if I click and drag on the controller to progress or rewind the minute value the play point jumps back to where it was already playing when i let up on the click event.

What setting on the video formate allows this skipping action to happen with the html5 video tag?

Many thanks, Drew Butcher

Sounds like the browser your using may not have full support for that video format, do you have the controls attribute inside the video tag?
