Viewing work outside of workspaces

I am trying to do this using Visual Studio Code. Workspaces has the "preview workspace" button to view my work in Chrome. How would I view my work if I am not using workspaces?

To view you work on the local computer, you would navigate to the http://localhost:port in Chrome or your browser of choice.

The default port for Flask is 5000.
