waht is meant by "Write the flexbox property and value that will create perfect vertical alignment for .col" ?

I was thinking the answer would be: "flex-direction: column;" but that is not the case

They want a property to set the alignment for a specific column.

Changing the direction would affect all items, and still not specify alignment.

The property that would affect the alignment of a single item is align-self. And while I'm not sure I'd say it's the "perfect" vertical alignment, the value they probably are talking about is likely center.
