Almost all the videos give you the option to "download the project files". If there's not one on your current video, go up to the first video in that section, and there will likely be that option.

Learning how to figure out mistakes on your own is as valuable if not more than anything you would get from the instructor's material. If you're having trouble try searching this forum or using google. Many times the answer you need will be found that way.

You're on the right path, that is, doing it first then comparing. There should be a section to download the relevant files below the corresponding video in the course.
