Hi there.
I have ready web application, and quite unsure about it.
When I started to learn Rails/html, I decided to do some project, finally that fascinated me, and I did it like real app for people.
The problem is that I'm quite unsure about whole thing - can it be useful and is there any reason to spend more time on it (I have some ideas of furher improvment).
In general, it is educational application. You can add any source text, as book chapter or wikipedia article, and, while reading, mark keywords - things you need to remember from text. After you 'publish' this material, marked keywords will be form for input - so that you can type what you remember and test you knowledge of topic (get result, view mistakes).
Any feedback on improvment is appreciated. Also I want to know your opinion on general usefulness - can it be app, which people who learn something will use (may be with some additional functions I cann add)

I'd also say for an app like this, creating clear and easy to understand instructions will be vital.

First and foremost, I would recommend a good grammar and spell checker to remove some mistakes in your instructions that some people may find quite distracting.
The overall look and feel however, is quite nice. I think if you can convert a web address into a test, that would be great. Having to paste text manually seems like a bit of a hassle if the source is a website such as wikipedia.
Since in English, it is possible to use multiple words that work equally well in a given spot in a sentence while still preserving its original meaning, your app might be more useful if it marked some answers partially correct if it is a synonym of the original word. Also proving clues such as number of letters, first and/or other letters ( e.g Ans__r ) when people enter incorrect responses might help if the user gets stuck.
Finally, consider adding game mechanics to help improve the user experience (see http://www.gigya.com/gamification/ for some ideas)
Overall a great idea, I hope you proceed further with it.

Yes, spelling is a little problem I need to fix, as English is not my native, but hopefully one of my friends native-speaker will overwright all bad sentences.
What would I like to do in long run (as big plan). I want to let users insert their tests in any web page (the way Youtube lets), view results statistics and so on. And of course, reacher text editor. And it is good idea about partly hiding - for example, to show first lettter if user input is incorrect in case he is just typing synomim.
The main problem I just don't know how to get real user's to proof the basic process. Friends are friends, they can be not very honest just not to offend me.

3,039 PointsI think in the early stages you should just concentrate on building a high quality product. Have faith that if you create something people can understand and use or need, eventually it will gain traction. Good luck!
