Way to know if problem with Treehouse?

I stayed up until 4 a.m. last night because I could not figure out what the heck was wrong with what I inputted into a Challenge. I tried a bunch of other inputs, which also failed, but I saved my initial input in a text doc.

Anyhow, today, I did the copy pasta of what I originally put in (and tried several other times throughout a session where I wanted to pull my hair out) and well... it worked, so I'm guessing something was wrong with the site for a bit.

Just wondering if there was some point where I could have saved myself the massive headache. But, yay to Treehouse in that I did learn the correct solution and was mostly convinced the site had lost its mind momentarily (or some other link on the chain where what I typed in didn't get there?).

Could it be a save and refresh problem?

No clue what happened. I logged out and restarted my computer and it still rejected what I put in today (did exact same copy/paste as I did last night). If I botched it, no idea where I did so...

I occasionally have these kinds of problems but also with Code School and especially Codecademy, where it happened frequently. I sometimes opened a different browser or copy/pasted an answer I found online that looked the same as my own.
