ways to practice?

Hey guys and gals.

what are some ways that you guys practiced when you were initially learning this Swift language?. aside from the challenges and stuff thats given through the tracks.. how can i practice what i learned here?. even my basics up until where i am now?. just looking for some suggestions so i can get better and so i don't forget this stuff. i don't want to lose this, and i feel like its pretty easy to lose if i don't see it too often.

if you have the time, can you please spend a few minutes showing me the ropes and giving some suggestions. its greatly appreciated..

Thanks :-)

You need to code as often and regularly as possible. Create programs everyday, even if they are simple. If you don't know what to code then you can simply find an app that already exists, like a Weather app and see if you can build one from scratch. The **only* way you can get good at programming is by doing it and no matter how many books or courses you take, if you don't put in the time to code regularly you will never become a programmer.

Hey Abdurahman,

I'd start by looking at what kind of simple apps you use all the time. Maybe a note taking app or to-do list. It may be reinventing the wheel because they are some already on the app store, but it'll get you tackling a problem that won't seem overwhelming from the start.

Starting off with a basic app to test your skills will push you more than the challenges and quizzes, but won't seem so daunting as that cool app idea you have in your head that will make you millions.

hey Nicholas!!. thanks for your help!!. but i only learned up until enums now. i still don't know how to make an app for real. like i cant go through the designs and functions of making an app on swift yet.

even just knowing as little as i know, you think i could play around with it? and use what i have learned so far and make an app??

thanks a bunch by the way
