Android

We are working on a simple app that lets a user guess a number that the app picks. To start, add a member variable named

import android.app.Activity; import android.app.AlertDialog; import android.app.AlertDialog.Builder; import android.widget.EditText;

public class GuessNumberActivity extends Activity {

protected String mUserInput;

/*
 * onCreate() and other code has been omitted for brevity!
 */

public void makeGuess() {
    // Set mUserInput here!

    // Check to see if the user's number is correct
    boolean isCorrect = GuessEngine.testGuess(mUserInput);

}

}

the question is not complete but I went back to my track and what you're being asked is a variable named mNumberField , and making protected? if so, it's like this protected EditText mNumberField; write it around mUserInput; hope it helps.
