e.g.. how would someone go about creating 'treehouse' - what would you 'study'. What would react be good for? haha :)

Yes, there's tons of articles in there, but I recall some of them describe at least parts of the process of creating Treehouse itself. I seem to remember that it's based on server code written in Ruby (perhaps with Rails). I don't recall any mention of react, but I'll leave the articles to explain the details themselves.
