15,650 PointsWeb design - How do I get better?
Hi guys.
I have recently done some HTML and CSS courses, and I feel pretty comfortable about reading HTML and CSS. I have a bit more trouble writing the code, but I can usually get around it. My mayor problem though, is, my creativity when designing the website. I am currently on the track "Front-End development", but I think it may be better for me to shift to Web design? It is hard for me to picture a design, and making the wire frames it comes out as plain and not very nicely designed.
Would web design be better for me, to boost the creativity?
Thanks!

23,118 PointsThe web Design track is a great starting point. I think the Design Foundations course although old, is very much worth doing. If being creative is the issue and not so much techniques I would suggest reading some design blogs, looking at art/print design, and also drawing. I always write out everything with pencil before even touching the computer. Design is hard, My suggestion would be, first learn the languages you want to know, don't worry about tracks, and be creative with those languages. Here is a couple of great places to see and read about great design:

I think these places are a great starting point. Just be creative and don't worry about the computer at first, draw with color if you want and design stuff you want to see.
