Web Design or Front End Web Development ?

Hi guys, I've just joined treehouse today. I have a java background and am currently studying Servlets and Jsp's, I want to be able to create web applications/sites . Which should be the most applicable track to start with? Thanks Karl.

Hi Karl,

Personally I started with Web Design and then I moved to Front End Web Development. I felt it was important to create a solid foundation in understanding how to design a website before a moved into the "functionality" of a website. It's all personal preference though and you will find that the tracks do mix in content.

Perfect, on a good foundation stands a strong house. Thanks Calvin
