Web design or Front-end web development or ????

Hello fellow Treehousers, I have been jumping around on here trying to figure out what best interests me. I've decided I want to stick to making websites. I might venture into more object oriented languages in the future but for now I want to stick with building websites.

So here is my question, Should I do the web design track or the web development track? Im interested in both aspects and would like to do the coding and the design myself eventually when I actually learn it all so I can freelance. Im just not sure which I should start with to get a good foundation. Also if you guys have any recommendations for any courses in-between that will be great.

In the Web Design course you will learn how to make plain websites that look good. In the Front-End Development you will learn how to make those plain websites interactive and functional.

So, that said, I'd recommend you to watch both of the courses, Web Design first and Front-End Development second.

Thank you Jesus! Also I need some account support. I emailed but Im trying to get it resolved quickly!.

I would think you should start with the HOW of building websites (web development), rather than the WHAT (design). That said, you will NEED a foundation in JavaScript to do any kind of web development for websites, so I'd recommend delving into JS basics too. Best of luck!

Thanks for the response. I would like to get as many opinions as I can so keep replies coming!
