How many websites can I actually host with web hosting for students? If I sign up with them am I stuck with only the original domain I enter in when starting? Thanks

19,833 PointsHi Seth, If you decide to go with web hosting for students make sure you choose a good name for your site. Although I don't know how many websites you can host with web hosting for students? But I would look around for other web hosting sites, and prices as well before you decide to make a final decision on which hosting site you want. Good luck!

4,387 PointsYou may be able to get hosting through your college/university/high school. That would be a free alternative.
You can also try http://webhostingforstudents.com/, which has a deal for Treehouse students, but Ive never tried them. Personally, I use MediaTemple.
Usually, you can host multiple domains on one host. So you aren't necessarily stuck with the original domain, but it can be a pain to transfer everything if you decide to switch later.

3,850 PointsI am really upset with the customer service of WebHostingForStudents. Why make all support based on taking a number and waiting for someone to help you? I would really like to transfer my current, primary domain with a new one I just bought with namecheap. This shouldn't be so hard! If anyone has successfully done this through WebHostingForStudents I would love to hear how.

3,793 PointsI decided to host a second website on Web Hosting for students and it worked! Although I'm not sure what the maximum websites you can host is?
You can do this by:
- logging into your Cpanel (yourdomain.com/cpanel)
- Click Domains > Addon Domains
- Enter your new domain name and confirm with password
- Click on document root and upload html, css and images
I did this about 4 months ago and I've forgotten any other steps!
I hope this helps
