Hey guys, I would like to start a discussion on the web industry. I've been hearing for a while now that soon the web development profession will end. Recently there are many website builders like wix, there is also this adobe muse. I know they can't cover everything, and they still need developers, but what about in a few years from now, how is it gonna be?
I've been investing some time studying php, and want to get deep into that, but what if it's not worth it? What if I'm wasting my time with php? Then what would be the best language for me to learn? C#? IOS, Android development?

So if someone needs a professional website, he could use a professional.
(side note - there will always be people who don't want to take the time to build even the simplest of websites)

Someone needs to program Wix and all of its new options, the only time when Web Developers won't be needed is when sites like Wix have an endless amount of options, to get to that goal Wix hires Web Developers. Web Developers will always be needed, the place they work is the only thing thats shifting.
