Hi Jonas!

I would suggest that you sign up for Webhosting For Students as it is a cheap and reliable service and just by being a member of Treehouse you get some free hosting time!

Also, there are instructional videos on how to use Webhosting For Students here on Treehouse.

Webhostingforstudents.com no longer provides a free service for the students of Treehouse. I have found many "free" wordpress software packages like xampp or MAMP/WAMP. Could you please provide a credible link to download software to run a wordpress site locally on my computer.

Last I knew wordpress.com did not give you the ability to customize wordpress like hosting it with Webhosting for Students. I don't think you can completely follow along with a wordpress site on wordpress.com. I also think hosting with Webhosting for Students is the way to go.
