5,265 PointsWebsite Basics and Technology Foundations - Same Description
Beyond HTML and CSS, there are several basic technology skills that every web professional should know. Some of these include uploading files to the web via FTP or purchasing domains and hosting.
Is that a mistake? :D
If not, isn't it better to merge both?

I'm a bit confused. What are you suggesting we merge exactly? :)

5,265 PointsHi Nick Pettit , I was pretty confident with my first question and that is why didn't went into much details with the second one. :D
Since 'Website Basics' and 'Technology Foundations' share the same description so why not create more of a global head and place website basics and graphic basics under it.
Elizabeth Fawkes Sure, I will keep that in mind. And thanks for correcting my name. :D

Treehouse TeacherHi Gautam Thapar,
That was definitely discussed internally, but we decided they were different enough that we wanted to keep them separated. We also may add more content to each of those in the future. :)

Treehouse TeacherOh wow! I see what you're saying now. I guess I didn't understand.
Yes, those descriptions should be different. Looks like a copy pasta error on our part. Sorry about that!

10,722 PointsHi there,
I am continuing this post since I have just noticed that the issue raised by Gautam is still valid.
What I would like to add is that the "Website Basics" should be really soon updated, because some information is a bit outdated. E.g. currently the top browser worldwide is by far Chrome (http://gs.statcounter.com/#browser-ww-monthly-201207-201307) and the Hosted Services part could be updated as well, I believe, since there are are definitely many interesting possibilities around the web now.

Kuba

Treehouse TeacherHi Kuba Malbek
I agree. We're always planning new courses and working on producing them as quickly as possible. Website Basics is still relevant for beginners, but it's indeed becoming outdated and is in need of replacement. Technology education most definitely has a shelf life. :)
I'm working on a new course right now that should be released around October. It will cover everything in Website Basics with more contextualized and updated information.
