website desgin problems

I thought I would have a go at just making any website for practice but I'm having a few probelms.

Please take a look at my codepen:

  1. How to I add a color to the underline when I hover over the nav options e.g. home about blog.

  2. Also how do I add a color line to the bottom of the header section. Like a bottom border I want it in red but any color will do. Everytime I do the code I think is right nothing happens on screen.

  1. text-decoration-border is only supported in Firefox with the -moz prefix : caniuse.com/#search=text-decoration-color
You're only option that I know of, is to add a border-bottom to the nav ul li:hover

  2. I simply added a border-bottom to your css header declaration and it worked fine
