The truthful answer is there is no real way to know, but we can make some assumptions and take a guess.

It seems the average CTR is about 1.5%-2%.

Many factors go into how much an ad pays for a click. Ads with higher competition in their industry will pay more (say for instance a computer manufactures compete heavily with each other, so they might pay more per click than say an ad about home fragrances.) That's part of Adsense's bidding market on the advertisers side. So what your site is about matters! The more focused it is, the more likely you are to net more money, or CPC.

Let's just guess and say your average CPC was $0.40.

So if you have 4.5K daily visitors, and a 2% CTR, you'd have 90 clicks per day, on average. If you made an average of $0.40 per click, you'd make $36 a day on average, or $13,140 a year on average.

If you had 10K visitors a day, at 2% CTR you'd have 200 clicks per day, at $0.40 per, that's $80 per day, or $29,200 per year, on average.

My numbers are in USD, but I noticed you said pounds, so I don't know how or what those numbers convert to for you, but you can at least see the math so you can do it yourself. As far as USD money goes, even 10K visitors a month would be tight to live on as a sole income, but possible. You can see you need a lot of traffic.

And of course all of these numbers are best estimates. So many factors come into play here your results are guaranteed to vary.

Wow , i was looking in internet throw a lot of articles and your answer is simpe and clear . Oh well USD to pounds i think is neary a half . Well so that means 10k visitors daily are needed to make a living of it , its not that im freak about money or somethnk but i really iike programming and all and as i know that you can make money with it why not plus whats more is that atm ill prefer to give some of the earnings to my family so one of my parent could go off thier work . But its alot of work and as you said lets say 50pound per day , thats quite a lot i guess , but i have a good solid topic , not sure about mine idea about other companies etc.. but since my page has neary 5k people and it will have more in cople of weeks months years it will eventualy grow up and build up . Im not expecting to make a website and get 50pound per day in a months but over like a year ater i can make a good looking and functionant website . Plus my english will improve because all the checking will be horribile p thank you very much, for the answer it really helped me alot , at least i know at how to look at it now and what is the challenge . The time will pass and dreams come true . Thank you :)
