WebVR or PC VR?

Hi everyone. Hope you are having a great day.

I have always been a HUGE game geek. I love video games. At the same time I LOVE building things such as products or services, more specifically; experiences. I have been a very active and enthusiastic follower of the VR industry ever since it's first re-immersion in the recent years. After watching the Oculus Connect 3 conference, I was SUPER excited about the future of VR and I am extremely impressed with where Oculus is taking the VR movement.

I have been studying JavaScript on TreeHouse for just under 2.5 months now. I am considering signing up for a techdegree as I would like some project based and structured program. However before I make that decision, I would like all of your opinions on which direction seems a more viable one. I am thinking of either going into becoming a virtual reality developer via the traditional game developer route using unity etc (This will mean switching over to the gaming track on TreeHouse) or continuing with my JavaScript studies and getting into WebVR instead. Both seem like great frontiers for pushing this technology to mass market and creating amazing content. What do you guys think? Which is the best option for a solo developer (possibly team up with some one), virtual reality game developer or WebVR developer? or Both? really confused.
