welcome div does not appear as expected

Hi Guys

Not sure whether its my network problem or something else.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
  <meta charset="utf-8">
  <link href='//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Varela+Round' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
  <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/main.css">
  <title>AJAX with JavaScript</title>
  <script>
    var xhr = new XMLHttpRequest();
    xhr.onreadystatechange = function(){
      if (xhr.onreadystatechange === 4){
        document.querySelector("#ajax").innerHTML = xhr.responseText;
      }
    };
    xhr.open("GET", "sidebar.html");
    xhr.send();
  </script>
</head>
<body>
  <div class="grid-container centered">
    <div class="grid-100">
      <div class="contained">
        <div class="grid-100">
          <div class="heading">
            <h1>Bring on the AJAX</h1>
          </div>
          <div id="ajax">

          </div>
        </div>
      </div>
    </div>
  </div>
</body>
</html>

it looks like the code is working for once but then not working after I changed some " to ' and restore them back to "

line 11 should be

   if (xhr.readyState === 4){

instead

That did it for me, thanks! Somehow i left that closing parentheses off though, i had the code right...
