Challenge is asking me to use the document.write() function to print the contents of the player variable to the page.

app.js
var player = 'Jasmine';
document.write("var player = /'Jasmine';")
index.html
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>

Use the document.write() function to print the contents of the player variable to the page.

you aren't printing the content of player variable here.

document.write(player);

thank you! but how is it that you only had to type player instead of the var string?

because you have already defined the variable in the 1st line

var player = 'Jasmine';

Once the variable is defined, to make use of it, you only need to refer to it by its name, player in this case.

ahh i see. thank you!
