What am I doing wrong in this code?

I thought this code is fine. But it seems not working.

activity_main.xml 
<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="match_parent"  />

    <EditText
        android:id="@+id/captionField"
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
        android:layout_height="wrap_content"
        android:layout_alignParentLeft="true"
        android:hint="Enter a caption"
        android:layout_alignParentTop="true" />

    <ImageView
        android:id="@+id/imageView1"
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
        android:layout_height="wrap_content"
        android:layout_alignParentLeft="true"
        android:src="@drawable/grumpy_cat" />

That's odd - I added android:layout_alignParentTop="true" which is the same as you and got a pass? I put it after the existing align commands, i.e. before the hint, but I don't think that should matter!

Very strange.

It just worked now after I changed "/>" to ">" - it was an indentation error. Thanks for reaching out tho!
