I would like a computer for programming and school. Do you have any suggestions. So far I am a apple user and would love to stick with apple if I can. I will willing to spend around $1,200. Should I get a mac book pro, air or should I get something totally different. Thanks so much.

Basically, any computer can be used to programme with. It's not a resource intensive process. The programs used to write code will use up more resources than running the code and local server. I'm using 1% of my CPU with Dreamweaver and Chrome open.

1,829 PointsI wouldn't suggest a too fancy computer just for programming. However, If what you are doing involve interface design, I would suggest a computer/laptop for programming and a tablet( or other devices) for testing ;) $1200 will be enough to get both ;D
