There are no prerequisites, you can start whenever you feel like it. If you haven't programmed before, Python is a great first language!

hmm... wanting to work in a field where python is used?

These are mostly (by job advert numbers) In the fields of big data and back end web development :)

Other that than, no requirements, actually python is one of those languages that it might almost be easier to learn if you're not already used to some other popular first languages!
