What are Workshops?

This is probably a stupid question,

I understand "tracks" are courses put together, however I'm confused what the "Workshops" are & when do you watch them, I haven't tried to watch one at the moment as I dont want to lose track of where I am atm or confuse myself.

If anyone could shed some light on this, that would be great,

I think they are like tutorials for a specific subject. Something that's either introducing you to a subject or teaching you about something that doesn't require a few hour class. I hope this helps.
